about an hour ago there was looting at the walgreens at 14th and broadway. that's the area where demonstrations here in oakland usually begin. you can see smoke coming from the building. someone set a fire inside. dozens of people took over the store. now, as you can see, an ambulance was taking one, possibly two security guards according to police to the hospital. they say that they are investigating a shooting that might not be related to this protest. now, the crowd tonight grew to 5,000 strong. as you can see, several people were arrested, taking place at this standoff at 7th and broadway. that's right in front of police headquarters. protesters throwing fireworks and projectiles at police. the anger over the george floyd killing on memorial day in minneapolis pouring onto the 880 freeway. traffic stopped in both directions. now, as we said earlier, this demonstration started out very peaceful. for the first time ever, a horse leading the march down broadway. the signs were up saying "hands up, don't shoot." many people were here not wanting the violence

we're also getting reports that other stores, including a walgreens a bank in the starboard starbucks was also broken into and set on fire here in oakland. now the protest in oakland started at about 08:00pm friday evening, some protesters meeting at city hall. quickly the group grew in size from a few 102 thousands overnight. now what you're also seeing we're going to show you these other images of a mercedes benz dealership being vandalized the car inside of that dealership set on fire the dealership set on fire. the car's tag with the slurs targeting law enforcement i've seen images, pouring in from over social media that show a diverse mix of people out on the streets there, chanting phrases including black lives matter and i can't breathe, we know those rough lloyds last words before he was killed. we know at some point through the protests. police were seen by those in attendance, using some tactics against the protesters. also visa protesters ended up on the i 80 freeway here in oakland, we saw some reports that the bay bridge was even shut down for some time due to protest. no

changed the plan, at my request, we had a surplus of test capabilities in a clinic that was open by walgreens in my district in springfield, illinois, they had the capacity to test upwards of 100 people a day, and five rapid scan machines there and averaging about 23 a day. so, when the center opened up testing. we began sending-- he also implemented a testing requirement for anyone getting the procedure so we were able to send people there to that testing facility once we also successfully got the c.d.c. to allow for asymptomatic patients to be tested at facilities that were following federal guidelines. now, there's more of a shortage because there's more demand. but testing is only going to increase as we continue to see where test kits are available and we've seen testing availability increase on a daily basis during this pandemic and i assume that's going to continue to happen and i think our testing cape bits are only going to grow to where states in places like illinois may some day soon i hope mirror wyoming and will herd's in texas. >> host:. >> there's a lot of technology out there.

walgreens announced they are opening nine drive-through sites in florida, including 2 in orange county, one in orlando on marcus of the road -- and one in winter garden. i think those will be moving it. cvs is getting into the game. they haven't announced where there sites will be but they will do it. so is walmart, they are opening five drive-through sites through a partnership with quest diagnostics. we also have a new machine that we will be debuting next week in miami. it is a machine to clean the pp can- the ppe so you decontaminate the masks, up to 80,000 per day and if you decontaminate the masks are you can wear them 20 times which in terms of the shortage, i think the supply has started to flow a ittle better but months ago, was difficult to get this stuff. we have that so it can be reused and i think that will be very important as we go forward. i think orange county is really .oised to help us move forward we will be safe about it, we will be smart about it, it will require a step-by-step approach. it is not something we can flip a switch on, but i think this is one communit
