i have to ask you, governor walker. where was that attitude back in february when you were calling out the cops to go after the wisconsin 14? they wanted to negotiate with you back then, but you didn't want to negotiate. back to the president for a moment. it's time to engage. right now, this white house is starting to develop an image amongst democrats and i was with them for the last two days, they're starting to develop this image that they don't like to fight. that they're just expecting the house and the senate democrats to come up with all the plans, and the president will just sign it. get out on the road mr. president and talk more about jobs. talk about beating back a radical agenda that's attacking middle class workers in this country. that is the fight. and you're not going to be creating more jobs, not at a tore id pace between now and november 2012, because the republicans aren't going to let you do it. so i ask the white house tonight, are you really with the workers of america? if you are, take that bus t

commissioner walker: ok. the purpose here is to make sure we have a solid partnership and are working together. it is due to hear, -- good to hear, once we get a hold of a complaint we are working in a way that works with a housing authority. i just want to make sure our contractors are given the same courtesy in working with the housing authority on habitability issues. commissioner mar: it seems like when the complaints are issued, problems are getting resolved in a fairly timely manner. the other thing i was wondering, if there was a breakdown in more problems and complaints from specific projects? there are a lot of different housing projects. maybe some of them are older, others that are more problematic. do you have a break down about that? >> with respect to the fact that the housing authority has 6000 or more units and the number of complaints that we get, they are not representative as far as sampling. we do have some customer that will call us because it is their habit to do so. if he does not go on

. >> recall walker! >> recall walker they are saying. folks celebrating. jessica king did not wait a day to turn their next focus to walker. they would like to begin the process of recalling the governor as soon as possible. the governor can't be recalled until he's been in office a full year. organizers would have 60 days to collect 100,000 signatures. if they force a recall election against scott walker, how vulnerable would scott walker be after just one year on the job. scott walker is more vulnerable than you might expect. here's what we know. scott walker was elected governor last year. in the sixth district in which republicans were challenged last night. governor walker did even better than that. statewide walker you'll recall got 52%. he didn't get 52% of the vote, he got almost 56%. while the whole state went for scott walker in 2010. these six districts from last night, really really went for scott walker. here's the bad news for the governor going-forward. in those six elections, only one of the republican senators did as well or better than sc

commissioner walker: ok, i get it. what do you do then? >> if i may, commissioner, generally, what the department has done is deal with the exigent circumstances to make the building more stable, to deal with the issue but not necessarily restore the whole system. when you get into a boiler system, you may have other issues -- commissioner walker: space heaters, something like that? >> in instances where there was a single source, we may have had an elderly individual or confirmed individual, we have access, and there was sufficient money to stabilize the situation. but when you are dealing with several large building systems, it becomes a much more complicated situation. even when the department had $20 million in its operating fund, they were apprehensive to do that. once you start making the repairs, you inherit the liability and access that goes along with that. it is one thing to barricade a building. it cost about 18 dozen dollars just to have the bureau of rebuilding repair come in, the police was there, the city attorney involved.

commissioner murphy: commissioner walker. commissioner walker: i appreciate that this is on the agenda, this broad issue. it is situations like this -- not just that one project. i do have questions about this one project and then i have questions about the broader effort for fixing. by next year, we want to see something different. >> i gave her a deadline of, two weeks, come back to me with an action plan. if they cannot take care of it, afford it, at that point, we would go to a director's hearing, and then force the issue. >> if it keeps breaking down, as a serial occurrence, creating a problem for the building, everyone coming out, responding in the case of an emergency. >> to be fair, the only complaint that we have received is the one from the same tent. there are other people in the building and i have not heard anything from them. i am not saying that it is not happening. we are just not getting more people complaining. commissioner walker: on the concept of doing it an emergency resolution for a life issue, do we ha

this walker endorsed paul ryan running for president.ly, i think he is endorsing his plan to recall him if he will last the rest of the year. >> the recall effort in wisconsin, the number, 5-4. democrats winning over republicans. you picked up two senate seats. and i want to point out, i have someone in las vegas say to me a tough loss for the democrats. i said, wait a minute. all 14 senators who left the state in protest of a radical agenda are still in the by w wisconsin state senate. they're all working. the republicans weren't able to recall any democrats whatsoever. so what does this mean moving forward for wisconsin? does this really make it a shoe-in for recalling governor walker? >> well, it will be tough. it is not going to be easy but you're right. we have a pretty big victory. the only victory we didn't get was in getting the majority but we won a majority of the seats up for recall. if you take all the votes together, democrats won more votes than republicans. we were able to hold off any of them calling any republicans. we w

commissioner walker: thank you. >> good morning. management analyst for the san francisco housing authority. we have no formal report at this time on the status of the mou. there were some heeding complaints at a prior commission meeting that took place a few months ago. to my knowledge, those have been resolved. i will be happy to entertain any questions you have and report back any comments to the housing authority. commissioner walker: this is really helpful because we have complaints that make it back to our department. there are also several organizations that we contract with to provide tenant out of reach. we have been hearing from them that there had been a delay in working with the housing authority to resolve some of the have the ability issues. -- tenant outreach. apparently, there was an effort to get information on the to get information on the housing authority's mold,

all six republicans supported the walker bill.to net three senate seats it take over the majority in the state senate. if they regain control, governor walker could be next. so what is the feeling in wisconsin? how might this all play out? joining me now from madison, wisconsin is ed schultz, most of the ed show here on msnbc. ed has been following this story closely and been there since day one. ed, thanks for being here with me. how does it look for the democrats? >> reverend sharpton, if you put this in perspective and go back to november of 2010 on the state races, of the legislative level, just under $4 million spent, on these six races tomorrow, over $31 million has poured into the state of wisconsin. and it's outside money big time on both sides and it really is interesting to see how it's all unfolding. from the standpoint that democrats now feel that they have a more than legitimate shot at winning the three seats, and maybe a fourth seat. and roberto darling at one time who was considered to be no chance of losing, the p

when scott walker, who was so moved by ronald reagan firing all those people, when scott walker enacted own union-stripping agenda in wisconsin, he did not campaign on it, he just did it apparently thinking people would rally to his cause. people did rally, of course, but not for him, not with him, but rather against him. tens of thousands people in the streets of the state capitol and the wisconsin state democrats have reaped the political war for what scott walker did. remember the way they were greeted when they returned to wisconsin after they fled to illinois to stop walker from moving ahead with this thing? the thank you parade. the thank you parade. a parade in the streets for standing up to scott walker's union-stripping agenda. when's the last time you saw a parade in the streets for thanking democrats for taking a stand on something? that was the reward awaiting for democrats standing up for people's rights working in wisconsin. nationwide the amount of people who took the democrat's side was 77%. questions remain in this latest fight, do we, as a country, get our faa back? do
