reporting live from east mount airy, walter perez, channel6 "action news." jim. >> thank you walter. >>> a small child is among six people who were injured in a six-car accident this morning in camden county. the pileup happened at 6:30 on route 73 at hayes mill road in winslow township. police say the chain reaction crash began when a truck sideswiped a van. the truck continued forward and collided with a mini cooper and a car. the child and an adult were flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. four other victims were taken by ambulance. nearly a week after strong storms swept through the area, lead nears delaware county have asked the governor to declare a state of emergency. that would allow them to get money from the state to help with recovery efforts. county councilman chairman mario saveras says the money would go to eight municipalities including chester which sustained more than two and a half million dollars in damage. he says governor tom wolf is considering the declaration. >>> utility crews are almost done with their work in glouces

reporting live from east mount airy, walter perez, channel6 "action news." brian. >> walter thanks very much. >>> a child is among the six people hurt in a six car accident today in camden county. four of those vehicles were heavily damaged. police say a ford pup rear-endedpickuptruck. it happened at hayes mill road in winslow township. a young girl and several other people were airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. four vehicles were taken by plans. >> one of the occupants in the mini cooper was trapped in the vehicle also was extricated by the fire department and transported. >> st accident investigators collected evidence from the wreck for hours today. the camden county prosecutors office also responded to that scene. >> it's been almost a week since that violent storm moved through our area and knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people but the cleanup is still not over. ac electric told "action news" they still have about 3500 people without power in gloucester county alone. and one local mayor is blaming governor chris chr

"action news" reporter walter perez is live at the crime scene tonight. t there? >> reporter: jim we'll take you right to the scene. it was inside this house right there behind these vehicles where the elderly victim's body was found beaten and slashed. neighbors say she was a wonderful woman, very involved in the community and they cannot even imagine how anyone could do such a thing. investigators from philadelphia's homicide unit say this murder was especially brutal. >> she had been severely beaten and stabbed multiple times and she was pronounced on the scene. captain james clark said the murderer slashed the victim's throat. that victim has been identified as 85-year-old regina bruener. this morning neighbors called police expressing concern that they hadn't seen miss bruener since yesterday and her car was missing. police arrived to find her dead in her bedroom and now the search is on for her killer. investigators are also searching for her vehicle which looks a lot like this one, a 2007 silver toyota corolla with black duct tape covering a few sec
