jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. detectives are investigating the city's latest homicide. a man was shot several times tuesday afternoon in northeast baltimore. the victim died at an area hospital. detectives are collecting evidence of an overnight shooting. a man was shot around 11;30 last night. no word on his condition. robberyis dead after a in north east. several people broke into a home early tuesday morning. a 19-year-old was shot and killed during the robbery. another was shot several times. deputies are still looking for those responsible. >> dealing with thousands of unprocessed gun applications. those stricter rules will not apply to you. you will not have to undergo stricter background checks as long as you get the application in by september 30. applications are coming in at the rate of 1000 a day. the woman accusing john leopold of harassing her has reached a settlement. she accepted an offer from the county of $110,000. she claimed discrimination and retaliation. he was convicted of misconduct in office. a government shutdown could happen five days from now.

jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> police say somebody shot a man in northeast baltimore. the victim was found that hugo avenue and 28th street. he died at the hospital. someone shot a man a mile from that homicide tuesday night. officers responded and found a man suffering a gunshot wound. homicide detectives were called. police are looking for the suspect of a shooting in a glen burnie gas station. a truck pulled up to a car early tuesday morning and fired two shots and took off. officials believe the victim was targeted. suspects are being look for after a deadly robbery. at happened at a home in north east. the suspects broke into the home and shot two men. one victim later died. the other victim is listed in critical condition. clear ae are looking to backlog of gun applications. they will not enforce the new licenses to anyone who submits an application by monday. police are receiving about 1000 applications a day. troopers will not enforce the new requirements on applications submitted within the next six day

in washington, sally kidd, wbal- tv 11 news. baltimore county fire captain is facing charges of sexual abuse of a minor tonight. besides working for the county, he is also a man known for being a ravens fan. live fromtis joins us baltimore county with the arrest of the baltimore birdman. >> gregory hudnet was once described as a hero firefighter, but now police say he's a sex offender. police say the 64-year-old is charged with sexually abusing a minor on a number of occasions from 2005-2008 when that minor was 12-14 years old. in 2007, he was given a firefighter of the year award for his work as a member of the golden ring fire station number 16. at the time, the vfw told he was recommended because the decorated fire captain rescue someone from a burning vehicle. he is also a decorated ravens fan, literally. he is the baltimore birdman who at every home game would dress up and very outlandish and colorful hats and outfits. meanwhile, police say these abuse allegations against him were reported to a detective by the victim last

wbal-tv 11 news. >> baltimore city firefighters are trying to find out what caused a house fire in east baltimore this morning. a two-story fire in the 1300 block of east lafayette around 430 -- 4:30 this morning. no words on the estimated damages. officers are dealing with a shooting investigation. man around 2:00 thursday afternoon suffering from wounds. police believe another victim walk to the hospital for treatment. being say this man is held without bail today in connection with the double shooting in pikesville. officers say earlier this month, 20-year-old brandon approached a group of people and opened fire, hitting two people. he faces first-degree attempted murder charges. this man is awaiting sentencing today, waiting three counts of -- charged with three counts of human trafficking. police rescued the victim during a sting operation at a hotel in april. prosecutors say he was supposed to be on house arrest for a rape charge in ohio. he was reportedly pimping out the victim to pay for his legal fees. survivors of a landslide buried half a village in mexico are trying to salva
