the three suspects in georgia could be extradited to western north carolina as early as today. 3 3 police in the upstate are investigating the death of a man who was found near a fast food restaurant. 36-year-old brent tresneer was found yesterday morning behind the hardees in cowpens. he was taken to spartanburg regional medical center where he later died. the death is being treated as suspicious. no other details have been released. 3 3 there is still no word this morning what caused a fire at a home in waynesville on christmas day. the house caught fire while the brinson family was out to dinner in asheville. first responders put it out... but also took their help a step further. they pitched in money to help the family. then, an officer escorted them to a walmart that opened its doors just for the family so they could get items for the night. 3 chief joey webb, sr. waynesville fire department 29:12-23do what we can for the community and show compassion. it doesn't matter if they're the richest person in town or a homeless person, it's all about taking care of people. brent brinson, on

in western north carolina it , caused a couple of sewage spills. one on riverside drive, the other on river road in asheville. each one released about 6,000 gallons of untreated sewage into the french broad river. the overflows have since been repaired. a strange kidnapping case out of asheville over the weekend. four people face charges tonight. authorities issued an amber alert for elijah and harlee joyner around noon yesterday. they were both found safe about an hour later. investigators will not release details in the case, but they charge natasha cantrell and christopher carter of georgia with abduction of children and kidnapping. they charge chadwick agan, also of georgia, with abduction, and trena weaver stands accused of child abuse in the case. carol: a fight between a father and son, involving a hatchet and a handgun, led to criminal charges against both men. according to mcdowell county deputies, 64-year-old thomas stafford and 36-year-old daniel stafford were arguing at their home on tom's creek road last wednesday. investigators said d
