vice president spoke to a crowd of thousands in wilkes-barre.n by more than 14 points in 2020, however, his margin in 2020 was slimmer than it was in 2016 when trump defeated hillary clinton by 19 points. keeping that trend going is the formula for statewide success in pennsylvania. , harris needs to keep her attention on places like looks very where she will not win outright, but she could lose by less than her predecessor and every little bit can help harris get over the top and win the all important state. austin davis is that lieutenant governor of pennsylvania. a senior adviser at our republican legacy to bring back traditional principles and they both join me now. let me start with you, lieutenant governor. it really ran 57 county strategy in the commonwealth. it paid off in those margins and lots of counties in which your ticket didn't outright win but shaved those margins. how important is it to get out around the state for the democratic ticket? >> thank you, chris, for having me today. to be with you. in 67 counties are in pennsylvania

and in wilkes-barre, pennsylvania were donald trump won with 57% of the vote in 2020. that's where kamala harris was today. and she wasn't the only member of the campaign rallying voters in battleground states. while vice president harris was in pennsylvania today governor walz was in michigan and wisconsin. doug was in one of the most trump places in florida. tim walz's wife in the main second congressional district. donald trump won the district, one electoral vote in maine, in both 2016 and 2020. kamala harris is making it clear that she's building a coalition of democrats, moderates and conservatives with a new campaign ad. >> is a prosecutor i never asked a victim or witness, are you a republican or democrat? the only thing i ever asked them, are you okay? and that's the kind of president we need right now. someone who cares about you and is not putting themselves first. i intend to be a president for all americans and focus on investing right now in you, the american people. and we can chart a new way forward. i am kamala harris and i approve this message. >> and

she's at the scene of the harris rally in wilkes-barre priscilla, what are we about to hear from harris in pennsylvania? >> well, campaign adviser tells me that she's going to be focused on job opportunities and that is part of her arguments to try to appeal to those voters who may be leaning toward the president donald trump. that has been the strategy in coming to these two counties today. two counties, by the way, that voted for former president donald trump in 2020 by double digits. but the idea here from the campaign is trying to peel off those voters, cut down his margins to try and have a play in this part of the state, a crucial state, one that the vice president spent the last seven of eight days visiting. so clearly, the campaign sees it as a give. it'll state and one that she told reporters, she's feeling pretty good about. >> take a listen i am feeling very good about pennsylvania because there are a lot of people in pennsylvania who deserve to be seen and heard. >> that's why i'm here in johnstown. and i will be continuing to travel around the state to make sure that i'm li
