this remains an active scene here in wilmington.e is located on bird street near maryland avenue and the fire started around 10:30 last night. two women were able to get out with the help of wilmington police. again, they were badly burned. a man, though, was trapped inside and neighbors tried to get to him. so did firefighters but the flames were just too fierce, too hot and then the building start d to collapse and they couldn't send more firefighters in. the fire was placed under control around 11:30. around 1:00 a.m., his body was located inside the rubble. one neighbor said the impact was so great he thought a car had slammed into his home and then he looked outside end saw the house burning. he called 911. he heard screams for help. he rushed into the back of the home to try to save the man but he says he just couldn't get to him. >> the top level of the house was sunk into the bottom level. and so i ran to the back and i saw him and i went to where he was but there was a wall in my way and i kept trying to get him to crawl cl
