we are live in wilmington, katherine scott, channel6 "action news."att. >> okay, katherine. >>> we also have new developments this morning in the arrest of a teenager for the sexual assault of a five-year-old girl in north philadelphia. only chopper six is over the police special victims unit last night as the suspect was being transferred. police told us overnight the unnamed 15-year-old boy faces charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and rape. the assault took place last month. police say a stranger broke into a window in the family's home on the 2600 block of north hutchinson street during the night. the girl was found unconscious in a backyard the next morning. her family sent "action news" photos of the girl being treated at saint christopher's hospital for children. >>> also developing this morning, a driver in delaware county crashed into two parked cars after a bullet hit him while behind the wheel. it happened on the 3000 block of west 13th street in chester late last night. police believe the shooting happened near 11th and booth streets.

wilmington 73. trenton 73. sea isle city currently 75 degrees.ite 6 along with action radar showing you can see the heavy rain to west virginia and virginia. it is intensifying as it moves closer. it will get picked up what is known as the lower level jet. the ribbon of air about 5,000 feet in the atmosphere. what this does, it adds moisture and creates more lift. that can really support the thunderstorms. around 5:00 you can see some of the thunderstorms moving in. at 8:00, intensifying right over philadelphia. we get a bit of the break in the action midday before a cold front moves in. this brings us another round. it looks like it will be more scattered in variety. it could have gusty winds as it moves through. really, two key times between 2:00 in the morning and 8:00 in the morning. this is when we get the solid line of heavy downpours with thunderstorms. may wake some people up when you hear the rumble of thunder, clap of lightning. between 1:00 and 7:00 in the afternoon, the head of the cold front more scattered thunderstorms. these could
