the home alone house in winnetka, illinois is once again for sale.ondered what kevin's mother and father did to afford such a big house. it's not that expensive by california standards. the current owner bought it for about a million and a half, which is the going rate for a small ranch house in the bay area. they want to sell it for 5.25 million. it's five bedrooms, six baths. recently renovated indoor basketball court, movie theater as well. it's at 671 lincoln avenue. now. they actually did shoot some of the movie inside the house, which is rare. almost never does that happen, particularly the front staircase with the big paint can. so you can recreate that if you wanted to. now you would ask for neighborhood comps because you're like 5 million. seems a bit steep, right? okay this is also in winnetka, not very far down the street on sheridan drive. it's 3 million. oh, so you are absolutely right. they're asking way too much for the home alone house at 5 million. why? i say that is because any chicagoan will say sheridan drive. that's on the lake.
