she was a wyoming legislature -- wyoming legislator. she was a groundbreaking person . she had been raised in wyoming when there were laws against interracial marriage. and she had married a japanese-american man, and they had a real struggle. they had to go to colorado to get married. but she was that kind of gal. she went to law school, when there were very few women in law school, and started practicing law in wyoming when the work very few women lawyers. throughout her career she had been a groundbreaker. but she did not make a big issue of it, she just forged ahead, which is kind of a wyoming women characteristic. as you may know, wyoming was the first state to grant women the right to vote. the first day to have a woman governor. the first day to have a woman statewide elected official. the first state to have women delegates to the national republican national democratic conventions. we had the first women bailiff. the first woman grand juror. the list goes on and on. because that was all part of our history, and it happened 150 years ago. even, as you know, we j
