ymca in south sioux city opened it's doors to everyone. ktiv's michelle schoening shows us what the day of play offers families. << many new year's resolutions include getting healthier and being fit and the ymca's day of play offers a way to kick start that healthy lifestlye. the annual day of play offers free entry to the y and all it has to offer. "bounce houses, life size games we have two pools open for swimming. we have fitness group samplers and our wellness floor open. just an introduction to what we have to offer, how we can help, and a fun thing to do on january the first," said chris deroin norm waitt, senior ymca. with all the various activities it's a great way for kids to burn off some excess energy. "it's a way to get out of the house and a way to be active and not be coopped up in the house, especially what we are kind of doing today," said melissa cain. not only is the day good for families, but an opportunity to open the y to all siouxlanders.
