what are you seeing, sandra? reporter: if you look behind me, if you saw it was windy day on daytona beach and wind coming in and surf is out. if greg pans out, see what matthew is bringing, high winds and heavy waves but black ominous cloud headed our way. if we look at the atlantic it really kicked up as we got here this morning. i wouldn't say there is a sense of panic in the community but there is sense of urgency after hearing what governor rick scott said about the storm. major concern on the barrier islands is the storm surge. the water rising up will come over the boardwalk and waves crash into businesses along atlantic avenue. you see windows boarded up, sandbags. that extends a couple of blocks in. all of the hotels here have closedded their doors. they have boarded up and kicked simply everybody out. couple million people all up and down the atlantic coastline under evacuation orders. what does that mean? that means the police are saying if you stay, not going to come help you. that is the message from
