abc7 news south bay reporter zach fuentes has been following the story and has more. >> viva sj is a popular event that closes down miles of city streets for cycling and vendors. the next one sunday is set to go as planned, but how often it comes back may now be in question, all because of an agreement that was reached to stop a strike. more than 4500 city workers were threatening to walk off the job mid-august after tense negotiations. a deal was reached between the city and a coalition of two unions, workers with ifp local 21 and afscme 101 got a 14.5 to 15% wage increase over three years, with a 6% hike in the first year. now the city says to meet the first year increase, it may have to cut some funding to viva sj and other critical city services. the cuts in year one of this contract might amount to about $4 million and include things like viva parks, viva kelly crossing guards in front of schools, traffic lights, synchrony. asian union representatives were unavailable to speak on camera friday, but a spokesperson says they don't believe the cuts are necessary. they pointed us to
