let's talk about this with dan haller and zeke emanuel, chair of medical ethics and health policy at the university of pennsylvania his new book is called "prescription for the future." gentlemen, thank you for joining us dr. emmanuel, just on first blush, when i see that the medicaid cuts are still in place on one hand that's not going to please the moderates and, on the other hand, the taxes, the obamacare taxes are back in again. that's not going to please conservatives, so what do we have here, do you think? >> well, first of all, in a large measure this bill is actually worse than the previous version because the cruz amendment actually destabilizes all the individual insurance markets making sure that healthy people stay out of the exchanges having only sick people in the exchanges, actually going to drive premiums sky high. it's going to be a much worse bill i would also note that on your list you did not have as undecided dean heller from nevada up for re-election and he depends on -- he's going to go with what his governor says who is very heavily dependant on the medicaid e

white house official told "time" magazine zeke miller they are thrilled the media is focusing on transgender looking at the corner the president appears to have painted himself into we are peeling obamacare stalled, failing, the massive border wall, fought even begun, that was one of his campaigns, build the wall, build the wall. no new improved trade deals to boast about. attorney general jeff sessions is arguably the most successful at implementing the policies that trump promised his base. sessions has moved forward at restoring mandatory minimum sentences for drug offenses. he backed off reform investigations into police departments initiated by the obama administration and on the very day the president branded him as beleaguered, sessions announced that federal funding to sanctuary cities would be tied to immigration authorities. in response to all of this, the tweets about transgender troops out of nowhere. president trump seems to be turning up the conservative rhetoric on the menace of undocumented immigrants at his recent rallies as well. >> you've seen the stories about some of the

administrators over the past couple of weeks and over the fourth of july, those are huge concerns as you know, zekewho was the architect of obamacare, he was being interviewed today on npr and he's written a book about obamacare and he said what we need, he said we have 5,000 hospitals in the united states, and we said, 1,000 need to close. i mean that's from his book. well those are rural hospitals the 53 hospitals that closed already under obamacare are rural hospitals because it made it that much harder for small community hospitals. at the same time, there's a report out this morning in politico that the biggest hospitals, and the america hospital association reports record profits from them so obamacare took it in the wrong direction, becky >> so, senator, the eight to ten -- in your gut, what is it telling you, that some of the eight to ten that really will break ranks, they haven't yet, which is kind of interesting, i think, and then you read i don't know if you saw fred barnes' piece in the "journal" about the republicans a lot of times don't stick together and that it will hurt the republi
