zorn said he had good zegs making. third quarter, rookie quarterback, chase daniel made the most of his first game. connecting with fellow rookie the 6'4" receiver hauled it in. tight end fred davis by the way out of the dog house on special team, punner to punter sends it downfield. look at this. the steelers get it and the ball stripped away by fred davis who had fumbled twice in the first game. he said that feeling was worse than he had ever known. the very next play, here he is again, the rookie chase daniel rewarding davis on this one with the 18 yard strike over the middle for the touchdown. daniel was six of eight for 58 yards the redskins beat the steelers. daniels said he had to shake off the jitters. >> once you make the first completion, you block out the crowd noise and everything else and you play the game like you're back in high school. the numbers look good. but i still have a long way to go, getting every down the way i want it to be. >> chase had a wonderful night. he was six of eight. i thinke had 60

jim zorn calls it dodge ball. backup quarterback todd collins has become a master at this drill in his second year under the coach, avoiding that attack. zorn has an absolute blast with this. you can see by his reaction. jason campbell, it looked like, caught on quickly. he said even he gets sick of doing this drill over and over. the guy that got smacked around a bit was number 5 brennan. he's got one of the best personalities on the team. he got beamed, smacked in the face. i asked him after this drill, tell me about what seemed to look like a rough outing out there for you. did i see you get beamed in the face? >> yes, you did. >> tell me about that. >> i didn't know whose turn it was. i looked at jason and looked at todd. jason threw it. got it right in the face. i'll get it back tomorrow. >> is that fun for you guys? >> zorn seems to love it. i guess it brings fun to practice it's tiring. of course, he could do that drill on the other side of the field. he puts us smack in front of the fans. >> you are saying

that guy zorn, he is from seattle. they were fine. they practiced this morning just like they planned to do. the boys came out for the first of two. the guys did switch to longer cleats for better footing in the wet conditions. unfortunately, it didn't work for all the players. there was a rain related injury that star wide receiver, santana moss slipped and tweaked his hamstring while running a route on the wet turf. he left the morning practice, did not take part in the afternoon practice. this after injuries already to receivers, malcolm kelly. and now the quarterback is starting to worry about getting reps with his guys. >> offenses click better when guys are working together and all the guys are in together. right now we are missing a couple guys on the offensive line. devon thomas missed the second half of practice and santana now. so hopefully we can get things turned around quick. the quicker we can all jell together, the better all we will be. >> the rain did not spoil jim zorn's fun. another one of his drills this morning. h

big question is how does the head coach, jim zorn, feel? i recently got a chance to sit down with the head man and we chatted about everything. especially the man who counted on to lead his offense, jason campbell. that pair of second-year wide receivers he's counting on heavily this year. is it fair to say that this team will go as far as campbell will carry them? >> he's absolutely a key ingredient. you know, i would never rest a whole season on the one player's i shoulders. that would be awful. i'm not going to do that. he is a key iredient and i think he will have a great season. my outlook for him is -- you know, upbeat and, you know, i suspect he will be better in his second year in this offense than he was in his first year in this offense. >> he certainly was a top hot button topic entire offseason. no secret that you guysensly tried to replace him by working out a trade for cutler potentially maybe drafting mark is an. you decided to keep him informed throughout the process, address him directly. and instead of not communicating wi
