I thought he sounded like Bing Crosby but I don't know. Sugar haze daze.

I thought the 1964 version was based on Bing Crosby. But the hip 30's edition and not the "Bob Hope and I have a job" edition that came later.
For all you tapers it might be interesting to look at El Bingo's bio. His work on tape recording methods to cut his performance time led to some of the equipment used in the 60's.

I thought Sugar Bear evened smoked a pipe and had the cap.
