.opus format is most modern and advanced. Archive.org don t support it. And please dont convert audio files to MP3 - it is very archaic and inferior technology. All audio files convert to .opus file, no to .mp3 please! What if we convert opus file and the try from Archive.org; I might think it will then support it, right? Also, you said no to convert the files to .mp3 nor .opus then what should we do?

I use Opus myself, but tossing out MP3 in favor of it? That's a ridiculous request. EVERYTHING supports MP3, and MP3 is now an open format (the last patent on it expired last year). Only Linux and Android systems support Opus. For usability and availability alone, you have to leave MP3 in place for at least several years.

The majority of web-browsers support play .opus files in Windows OS (play directly in web-browser via HTML5 technology). Opus files in Windows OS support Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other. Only Edge web-browser don t support.

we do not derive that format into other formats such as mp3 at this time. it is not a format that can be used by our online player.
