schwab.i want to get your take on where rates are headed in this environment as well as what the fundamental macro story looks like from your standpoint. you think the fed will start cutting rates this march? >> we do, actually. we think that inflation is starting to look like it's really settling down. i know the cpi print appeared to be artificially high. i think that owner equivalent rent is being stubborn in its movement down. but at the same time, ppi reflected what's really happening in our view in the economy and so yes, i think the inflation story is a really good one. it's on its downward trajectory and as a result i think the fed's going to be given the opportunity to lower rates. maria: i want to look at the 10 year this morning. we're back up to 4% this morning on the 10 year as we look ahead to the fed's first monetary policy meeting of the new year at the end of january. goldman sachs predicts the fed is going to cut interest rates five times this year as you do begin -- as you
