hotel employeed adam burke didnt recognize the man on the news for the past couple days. >> you wouldn't think it was him. >> reporter: in march, jenkins married jasmine fiore. the marriage was short lived and police say it ended in murder. on august 15th, fiore's naked mutilated body was found stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a trash bin outside of los angeles. detective believing the native canadian immediately went on the run. >> obviously with helicopters and dogs searching the immediate area of the border we were then able to use our partnerships across the country with other agencies and followed on tips that spanned from coast to coast. >> reporter: after the homicide investigators believe jenkins drove 1,000 miles to a small coastal town in northwest washington state. his suv and speed boat were found near the canadian border. once in canada, it's unclear how much assistance jenkins received and from whom. jasmine fiore's family is left with unanswered questions. they may never know why the beautiful young woman met such a tragic death. ryan jenkins may have been found dead bu
