look for valley fog from redding south to stockton, south of baker's field bakersfield and out to theoast. i think it'll be foggy in places it's not usually. i think you're going to see fog in places like fremont when you wake up. temperatures will be on the warm side upper 40s and 50s. the dewpoint, that's the temperature if the thermometer gets to that temperature, fog will form. the dewpoint about 50 degrees. you think the temperature in most bay area locations is going to get to 50 degrees, as soon as it does many wind sheltered valley, fog forms. clears out pretty rapidly tomorrow by lunchtime. temperatures in the mid- and low 60s in some warm spots, kind of neat. we haven't seen that in a long time. as you head into the santa clara valley, low 60s. out toward santa cruz. mid-60s. here's the deal, as you get into saturday you could reach temperatures in the upper 60s. it has been cold, it has been wet. this could be a heck of a nice saturday. a few clouds get in here on sundays. there's nothing staring us down. no big storms. we're dry for a while. it'll be nice to see something

you get fog out in stockton, the northeast wind which blows this way filters to the low lying ground. there'll be more of it tonight than we saw this morning. it was a doze of it, it burned off. we got a lot of sunshine but because of the start with the fog and the cool start to the day: temperatures barely got into the mid-50s in most places. even upper 40s in the forecast. when you get fog, that's a sign that it's stable. right in the summer months when we have the coastal fog when it's real tight. that's a stable environment. the valley fog is no different. it means an invision which is high pressure. 32 in santa rosa, 34 in san rafael. then 34 in concord, 34 in fairfield. it's about the dewpoint temperature as well. so i mentioned to you in the earlier forecast, once the dewpoint temperature is reached you get fog. once fog forms the atmosphere starts to form. so it's not going to get much cooler than your dewpoint temperature, farmers use that all the time to look for freezing conditions for crops. the warm up continues through friday easily. it's a warming trend, if you get this
