for a while on 580 westbound. net -- the backup will be with us for a while on 580 westbound, back to the 205 interchange. the drive time from 205 to dublin would normally be a half-hour. it is now over an hour. at least twice the normal drive times as you head in balance. there are no good alternate routes. 580, there are no arterioles through the region. if your goal is to get to 680 southdowns, you could take first street and then out towards 84 and pigeon pass route. the problem is that will not save much time because you will already were to raise through the worst of the backed up by then. most likely you will have to tough it out. i do not expect the back of to clear before the end of the broadcast. here is a bridge check as we look first at the bay bridge toll plaza west down. problem free, there are no backups or delays. the san mateo bridge is an easy ride. the golden gate bridge is without delay even through the fog. a check on weather. >> the fog is contained along the coastline into the immediate bay.

also it's light westbound bay bridge. not expected to get heavy at all unless there is an accidentover problem on the bay bridge. it's 5:00 let's go back to the desk. >>> an investigation continues now into a deadly police shooting at a san francisco bart station. ktvu tara moriarty says there are still big questions after last nights deadly confrontation. >> reporter: police did recover broken class and three bowl casings. it's providing clues to what happened last night on the civic center station platform. sirens wailed as an ambulance rushed the suspect to the hospital. he was pronounced dead within an hour. the initial 911 call came in at 9:30. authorities say the suspect was on the station platform. he appeared intoxicated, stumbling around and wobbling. now two bart officers arrived at 9:45 and within one minute three shots were fired. at least two bullets striking the suspect. investigators found saturdays of glass at the scene. >> they will be met with required force. something occurred that they were threatened.

it started over here on westbound 92, a car traveling westbound was exiting de anza and came across four lanes of traffic and plowed into the door at station 27. let's take a look at the video from last night. the white s u b was part inside of the station. no one inside the station was injured. there was minor damage to the trucks and a little bit of the inside the big damage was outside. the occupants of the vehicle were both treated and taken to a nearby hospital. their injuries are not life-threatening and they are expected to be fine. according to officials out here, alcohol may have played a role in this. toxicology tests are upcoming. the big question is how are they going to get these firetrucks out. the door is sealed shut with plywood. >> jackie, thank you. >> pollen believe this was to addition, the california state university system, tuition may be going up again, the board of trustees is set to vote on another tuition hike to counteract a $650 million cut in funding from the state. the board is considering raising undergraduate tuition for 12% for this coming fall. that is o
