year shows that we have had major wins in municipal mayor's races and first african american to win duval county, we won back in tampa, so we have won special elections. i think that democrats are excited about the chances for re-election. right now we are being compared to the almighty. but in the end we will be compared to the alternative. and when that selection happens, i think this president will do well in florida. >> who is going to be tougher to run against, newt gingrich or mitt romney or none of the above? >> i think the president will run the race on his merits and we will do well in 2012. i would say that right now romney will struggle in florida. he may have the resource advantage going into this, in terms of funding, but florida is funny. you go north to go south and south to go north. in my neck of the woods, which is north florida, i do not think that people relate well to romney. there's a distance. he does not connect. he is in south part of the state, on the immigration issue, his opposition to the "dream act," they are different than in on the part states on immigratio

if you're in jacksonville, and you do the same thing, they don't even hear it outside of duvall county goes to see florida baseball games. they're outside doing other things. >> exactly. and that's the problem i think that it's a potential problem for gingrich, right? he's thrived on this ability to use the free media. the media he so attacks but sort of get media coverage in order to leapfrog, not just with the debates, but the debates will have a high impact in the same way we saw in south carolina. but a couple places to watch, i think, are going to be -- you have sort of your country club republicans in the southwest, your businessman republicans in jacksonville. newt should do well in your old territory, you would think, on panhandle more like a south carolina primary electorate more than anywhere else. and the cuban vote will be a little bit more competitive. the establishment with romney, but gingrich is frankly a little more fluent, if you will, in hispanic issues in a way that romney has been a little -- shown some trepidation. >> david? >> kellyanne, question for you about th

you had duvall patrick sign collective bargaining reform in massachusetts.ou had cuomo talking about it in new york. you have a democratic treasurer in rhode island and even rahm emanuel in chicago talking about some of the same things at a local level that we're doing at a statewide level. the difference is the politics. it's about the power here. interesting enough, you think back. people can go back to the state of wisconsin but billion dollar budget deficits or record job losses or work together with us. >> what i'm getting from you and plethora of material, it's not about governor scott walker. this is about the next election and the direction of our country. >> it really is. think about it, not just about the 2012 elections but ultimately about whether or not we're going to have leaders, whether it's in wisconsin and madison, our capital in new york or any statehouse and for that matter the halls of congress, when people are courageous to take a stand and think more about the next generation than the next election, what are we going to do about that? m

because if you fundamentally believe this is the case, why aren't they going on a recall against duvall patrick and speaker of the legislature in massachusetts who are doing similar things in other states? well, it's because there's political alliances there. i remember it was the "boston globe" that wrote a column months ago where they looked at some documents or something they got connected to the white house where they kind of told folks in massachusetts to quiet it down a little bit so they could more aggressively go after me and kasich and not make this -- make the public realize this wasn't just a public issue has that a lot of elected officials are looking at this. i think it's about power. i think it's unfortunate about the people in my state. people in my state are probably going to have to go through tens of millions of dollars more worth of negative ads largely funded by groups outside of our state, ongoing, seemingly endless elections. there will be a june election a swing state, a key house seat and my voters in wisconsin won't get much of a reprieve after the recall electi
