a family from pinole saved a dog dragged by a truck. >> that is right.he dog has been named freeway. poor thing badly hurt. and how is he doing? >> and he's doing well, ways shocked to see this dog. he is recuperating here in this hospital from what was a really horrific ordeal. this german sheperd puppy is navigating on just three legs after his rear leg was amputated just yesterday. here is what happened. a woman and her son driving on interstate 780 saw the dog dangling from the side of a truck a rope around its neck. >> and i noticed spag smg flapping in the wind. got close skbrer noticed it's a dog. panic mode. we started to scream. i laid on the horn. he was going pretty fast. and he was just being drug and strangled at the same time, flopping around. >> the rope snapped and the dog rolled into a freeway wall and he stopped to help and called 911. the driver of the pick up sped away. it's been touch and go. the dog came into the hospital trembling and in shock. but the vet says he's all looking better now and is going to make it through this. he wa
