still looking a severe thunderstorm warnings in effect for baltimore county also harford and even cecil county in the red and we look at yellow shadeings and we are looking at a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for the rest of the morning. as we look at maryland's most powerful radar as of now, yes, we are a little on the busy side. kind of lit up this morning along i-83. we have a thunderstorm that is rolling across the area all this is pushing off towards the south and east. so jarrettsville is under the gun and more in bel air. sliding further to the east, well, rising sun you are under this port deposit elkton is getting in on the action as well. this is the scenario heading through the remainder of the morning. gusty damaging winds in excess of 60 miles an hour. and large hail with the thunderstorms. now we are dealing with some hot weather that's going to be working its way in here going into the afternoon. temperatures are close to 80. those dew points are up there. so the moisture is there to fuel the thunderstorms. that's what we are getting this morning. the heat will come as we g

in fact, elkton, cecil county, most areas, two to four inches up there. close to baltimore region, bel air, kingsville. almost an inch and two-thirds there. inch and a half almost. sparks, 1.10. tv hill, right here, 1.07. westminster, .91. as we head down the list, hagerstown, a little more than half inch. annapolis, 55/100ths. bwi marshall, the official recording station, only 33/100ths of an inch. it varies widely across the region as you can see. how does that thursday look? tim is in the beautiful outback with a look at what we expect tomorrow, really for the next four or five days. >> no change in site. these dry conditions don't support much rain, much cloud cover. so the dry air stays. the fewer clouds we'll see. the more sunshine we'll get. and it's just going to be a very nice stretch of weather. pleasant. a little cool to start. meaning that we'll stay in temperatures at or below our normal high, which is just around 82. but that high pressure keeps pushing in. that very dry air stays very pleasant for the foreseeable future. as for sailabration

parts of cecil county getting a little bit of that and more of it to the west.more cloudiness doubt in virginia and west virginia and maryland. this is some of that moisture that has been falling in the southeastern states, finally working its way in our direction. we do have some rain in the forecast. as far as the 24-dollar pollen count, grass pollen is in the high range and we pollen in the low range, almost of the scale. nothing going on in that area right now. brown the chesapeake bay, mid- 80's to around 90 degrees. ocean city is only 76 right now. the yellow and green out to the west, the clouds have been bigger out there all day and they are getting more shower activity. maybe a few readings in the 60's out there. here is the satellite picture. a weak front along the delaware bay, and some of these isolated sprinkles and showers have developed on the eastern shore, a lot more cloudiness to the west of us. the weak front is dissipating and has nothing to do the weather coming our way. high pressure has given us great weather since the middle of last week.

into northern sections of cecil county officially until 7:00. unless they cancel it earlier.et's look once again. the marvel of hd radar is you can see inside the storm. so you can see there's not a whole lot of what we call opposition of those winds. just a little bit, in fact, see how neutral this is? up here, there's a little bit of opposition between winds going to the radar site or against the radar site. but not a whole lot. i really do expect that this will be cancelled very, very shortly. now the rest of the region we have a whole mess of storms. particularly across north western maryland now. another batch across the area. we still have lots of rain, just northeast dc, bethesda toward college park. that's heading toward laurel, columbia. there's another batch coming in. if you're headed out this evening; i would advise you staying in. you don't want to face this activity because you're going to be dealing with heavy rain, lightning, very gusty winds. you may run into some roads that are honestly flooded and covered with water. i can't tell you how many times we had p

county. i got calls about heavy rain and heavier in cecil and harford county. over 1 inch, up to a couple of inches. a lot of that fell after 2:00 p.m. this afternoon. let's take a look at temperatures right now. the yellow shaded areas are still the warmest come in the 70's. nearest the bay in the urban area where the heat is held better. in the outlying regions, shifting toward this shade of green. we're beginning to see a few 60's to near 70. the cold front is to the west and is working its way eastward. the winds will swing northwesterly and dry air will start to come in. as the front gets out over the ocean, a low pressure area will develop and it will be spinning off shore for a couple of days. we will be hearing -- feeling the effects of that. cloudy skies until about debris. 61 to 65. there is a coastal flood warning in effect. coastal areas in harford county and southern baltimore county and anne arundel county. high tide could be running at two or 2.3 -- 2.5 feet above average. scattered clouds tomorrow. a lot of sun and it will be on the breezy side
