kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you.ire officials are trying to determine what sparked a deadly fire that killed one person in east baltimore. the fire happened just before 3:00 on saturday. investigators say crews found a man inside the home but he was pronounced dead at the scene. the man was well known in the neighborhood. >> he was a good guy. everybody loved him in the neighborhood. i loved him. the whole neighborhood knew him well. >> police say a firefighter fell through the floor into the basement but he was not injured. >> no word of what caused a deadly car accident. police say officers were called to patuxent river road in davidsonville. the driver and the passenger were each taken to the hospital where they later died. investigators are still trying to determine if speed or alcohol were a factor in the crash. >> president obama will tour the destruction left in the wake of isaac. some decided losing everything twice was enough. we have the latest. >> the flooding is slowly receding across southern louisiana.

kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. police are investigating two separate shootings. the most recent case happened just after 9:00 p.m. on thursday on south agusta avenue. a woman was found shot inside a car. she was shot in the head. she died overnight. police are looking for three men in connection with a shooting of another woman. a man was arrested in connection with the shooting of a woman and her won. he is charged with attempted murder. was arguing with his girlfriend and he shot her multiple times. the first shot was fired at her young son. >> a towson theater will learn whether it will lose its liquor license. the liquor board has scheduled a hearing for the theater following last weekend's chaotic flight. seven people were charged. police believe the shooting hours later may have been connected. promoter was used at the event. nearly a dozen homes have been burglarized in elkridge and woodbine since monday. police believe the break-ins, slightly being committed by the same person. >> he is knocking on doors to

kim dacey is live in towson with tips on how residents can protect themselves. >> police say most of these were crimes of opportunities. people left their cars unlocked. some with the garage door opener still attached to the visor. police say there's a string of at least 30 car break-ins over the past two weeks. homeowners say they rifled through the cars and stolen things like credit cards and bags. in some cases, the thieves got the garage door openers in the cars and let themselves in, stealing valuables there, too. police are reiterating the importance of locking your car doors and making sure you don't have any valuables in plain sight. that is advice homeowners in the area are taking. >> there are neighbors who have been here for a long time who have said this has never happened in this neighborhood but now we have to be more vigilant. so i think people are helping each other remind each other to close garage doors and lock car doors and things like that. i certainly will not be leaving any car doors open. >> police do think these cases are related but don't have any suspects.
