joining me is trey gowdy.me here today. >> thank you for having me. >> there's been a will the of concern and criticism over the fact that so little has been done since the inspector general's report that concluded that the irs has improperly targeted conservative tea party, p pro-israelis and pro-life groups. why do you think it's been allowed to go on like this for so long? >> i don't know. i'm not on the inside of the department of justice, but at a minimum the attorney general ought to come before congress and explain to us what's going on. it may be he's interviewed lots and lots of witnesses and we don't know about it. the media report is they've concluded there's no criminal conduct. they haven't interviewed the witnesses. the prosecution has a long rich history of donating to democratic causes. that does not inspire confidence in any of us. at a minimum he needs to explain what's going on. i would like him to explain why he doesn't this think case is appropriate for a special council because the statut
