we have two people who have been personally touched by cancer, lakisha and ben. i want to start with you, ka la kesha. you are a survivor. you have had a personal struggle. just finding out you had lung cancer was a struggle itself. >> yes, it was. i'm a three-year cancer survivor which i'm so excited about. it was a long journey. it was scary at times, but my faith in god got me here today. i am excited to be here. >> all right. ben, you lost your wife to this disease just this past year. this is your first walk without her. what's today like for her and what do you want people to know? >> well, this is first breathe deep d.c. we've had since monica passed away in february. it's a bittersweet time. for me, about all i can think about is monica, but i think about her all the time anyway. there's so many people who are affected by this disease that today really provides us an opportunity to make a difference in their lives. if statistics hold out, one in 14 people will be diagnosed with lung cancer in their lifetimes. that's not just people like lakisha who are we
