keep those photos coming to gonzales@kpix.cbs.com. this is my live weather picture right now. it's our hi-def doppler radar. it shows you that we do have some light rain falling across the northwestern section of the state of california. some of these showers are making their way into the sacramento valley. but that's about it so far. we do have that slight chance of a north bay shower today in the far reaches of the north bay primarily around lake county. otherwise sun/cloud mix today. and then we will have high pressure firmly building in with records likely as far as high temperatures are concerned by thursday, friday. again, there's the precipitation a closer look at it all. that rain line is right about here just to the north of our north bay so that's why we just have to keep a slight chance of a shower in the offering. big spring warmup with 80s returning to the bay area again. that will be by the end of the workweek. temperatures currently in the mid-40s going up to 69 in sacramento. we have the rain across the northwestern section of the state. fresno warms to the low

kpix 5's roberta gonzales has the summertime forecast. >> good morning, everyone.uiet but actually it's busy in our kpix 5 weather center. first, it's the heavy fog that is surrounding the bay right now. this is our live weather camera barely looking past the embarcadero where visibility is down to a half mile there. and san jose we have clear skies at 52. santa rosa socked in at 47 degrees. oakland visibility down to a quarter mile at 53 degrees. dense fog advisory is in place for this yellow highlighted area until 10 a.m. be very mindful out the door. we have widespread fog more of a marine layer that's pushing in from the coast towards the inland areas. once the fog dissipates, only some partial coastal clearing. we'll see increasing cloud cover from the north to the south. rain in the northern portion of the bay area. this is very impressive area of low pressure, this core about 1300 miles west of the bay area but its target air is the pacific northwest and british columbia. so we'll get sideswiped by the end. it's get to break down that ridge of high pressure.

roberta gonzales told us about the drought for years now many this afternoon tells us about the new water rules, roberta? >> this is what's happening right now and this does bear repeating. these are mandatory restrictions. right now, as we speak, the state water board in sacramento is voting on the new restrictions. they will kick in in april and this is what we all need to know. you can water your lawn andout door plants only two days a week. you will not be allowed to water for two full days after any measurable rainfall. also, restaurants will not be able to give you water unless you ask for it. if you are caught watering too much you will be fined $500. for example i know there's already one restaurant in pleasanton don't even offer tap water. if you want water you have to pay for it. michelle? >> all right roberta thank you. one other restriction, hotels will be required to ask guests who are staying more than one night if it's okay if they don't wash the sheets and towels but the guests could still say they want the sheets washed. >>> well, within the last 90 minutes, we learned wi
