storm team meteorologist chuck bell is with the storm team 4 x 4.u remember when the blossoms peaked last year? >> i do. it was fairly late because march was so cold. and march temperatures are typically the ones that matter the most. so keep that in mind. it's been really cold here for the month of february. in fact this february was colder than last year. as a result it could get things off to a slow start. last week the peak occurred between april 10th and april 14th. and during that five-day stretch, we were 80 degrees or higher three out of those five days and that cooked the blossoms off the trees or they may have lasted longer. last march the reason the blossoms were so late last year because march was a cold one. we were four degrees colder than average last march and we had 12 inches of snow in the month of march last year! things have took off to a slow start. a colder february this year. look at the tidal basin. the nasty brown snow. the basin is frozen out. on the whole it's march that matters the most when peaking -- picking the peak bl
