we had a closure on route 15 in the sparta area of new jersey. that cleared out. all lanes reopened. we'll start with the garden state parkway after route 132, route 27, three lanes shut down. definitely avoid this. i'll don't keep a close eye on it. heading over to truck route i-9, two lanes there shut down. and the bqe, i do have an update. and westbound, the truck has been out there for a while. we've seen sporadic closures and delays continuing to build. bqe the spot to avoid. and an accident blocking a lane out there, suffolk count and approaching nassau, long island expressway westbound just before exit 49, there's an accident out there that blocks a line. alternate side street parking rules in effect. move your car. we'll have more traffic and weather on the 4s. >>> the scientist who said traces of bubonic plague and anthrax were found in new york city's subways last february, they're backing away from the results of their study. they're not retracting the report, but they now say their findings were misinterpreted. and there's no evidence to find that the

guy from sparta is sweating, and he has been talking about the high dew points. 73 in the hamptons, and 75 in belmar. numbers close to where they were yesterday, and we were out of the 90s yesterday, but it felt like it with the high dew points, and it feels warmer than that because of the available moisture out of the atmosphere. it's one of the ingredients to the potentials for the storms. already popping up on the come pot sit radar. the front even farther to the west. it's pushing into ohio. that's the problem, the storm yesterday was a slow mover. it just sat there, and that's why you can see a lot of estimates between 2-4 inches. one station had 6 inches of rain in a little over an hour. it was the rate and movement of the storm that caused so many problems, very localized, and that's what we talk about, localized flooding, and we mentioned it yesterday. leave it in the forecast for today. don't anticipate a lot of activity this morning, but overnight well will see the arrival of the front. notice, there's a lot more coverage of the rain, and it's heavy, and it takes awhile to pus
