jack: polk county leaders are stepping up to fight hunger across the metro. more than 100 local food and human service groups joined the county's board of supervisors earlier today to talk about their plan to raise 10- million-dollars over the next five years to fight hunger. local leaders are working with the "partnership for a hunger-free polk county" to make sure no one goes hungry in the county. "there are approximately 55 thousand people that go hungry every day right here in polk county. we're doing great things in our city and all around in our community, but we still have a basic need that we need to concentrate on.
