welcome back, final thoughts from our guest s, mike murphy. >> as we get into a slow holiday week, the year hasn't gone as kind of we expected in the markets, but i want to look forward to 2016. i think there's a lot of opportunity in the market. i think we get a new political regime in place, i think the economy has more strength beneath it than people are giving it credit for. i think lower oil prices are going to be helpful and i think the fed getting off zero interest rates and away from the great recession of 2008. i think that all that puts together 2016 that's going to surprise people to the upside. maria: maybe the consumer comes out from under a rock. >> look at nike's earnings, they'll be spending on nike shoes. >> lindsey graham getting out of the race, it's interesting, he was not high in the polls. everybody thinks he's going to rubio or cruz or bush. if i was trump, the only on foreign policy is to get somebody like lindsey graham on your side.

mike murphy you're expecting a flat year in 2016, are you you? >> kudos to david. flat year for 2015 in the market and he's pretty much right with a few weeks to go. if you look historically, maria, after flat years in the market, you tend to get solid pushes to the upside between 10-12%. so i think next year with a lot of negativity baked in and a lot of people expecting with fed tightening that you're going to see markets come under pressure. i disagree, i think you're going to get more positive news next year. >> maria: what do you think about this week. we have retail sales. that's going to be the biggest market mover for equities. we have not seen the consumer go deep into the wallets and spend money. >> mike: i expect the christmas season to be better. people are out there spending. >> dagen: i know keith mccullough it's because of amazon. it is amazon, it's netflix, it's nike, starbucks. >> maria: but what the stocks are doing than what their earnings are doing. maybe amazon is doing well or apple is doing well. i don't think you're seeing that kind of evide
