friends, family traveling up in southern wyoming, into nebraska, howling winds about could be gusty tonight and quiet tomorrow morning, a good dose of quiet, calm quiet conditions and that will take us through the evening. hd doppler 9 we've been watching this front. it brought us a couple of isolated snow flurries. pretty good size thunderstorm beginning to form out there in parts of nebraska. most of the moisture is in parts of montana, wyoming and throughout the dakotas. stronger storm position to the north, that will keep a cold front diving in from the south. temperatures next couple of days cooler, but we still have high pressure. that will keep us dry the next couple of days. then all eyes out to the pacific northwest where this next stronger storm system will begin to form. that promises to bring us a little bit of rain and snowfall for that tuesday morning drive. the rest of this evening looks quiet and calm. we get rid of that cold front, get the winds to settle down about 11, midnight tonight, and tomorrow morning waking here it is 4:00, but it's still dry. if you're heading out

up north in southern wyoming, they have been looking at gustier conditions right now. but for a moment, it's not too bad. i am anticipating the worst of it arriving late tonight and early tomorrow morning. with that said, we have ground wind gusts at 60 miles per hour and i-25 through wyoming. that might be messy as well. blowing and drifting snow is an issue as the winds aren't going anywhere any time soon. around here, high pressure is entrenched and keeping us relatively quiet and calm at least since the storm system packed its bags and pushed out. look at this, creating severe weather across the carolinas and lifts further north and new york and boston and maine, they are looking at light snowfall but nothing compared to what we saw sunday and monday. and i am anticipating a couple of light flurries pushing into the high country mainly but tomorrow evening into early friday morning we might have a couple of light flurries in the city nothing major but maybe a little on the way to work. live hd doppler 9, this is the snow blowing around with the actually picking up.

that snow is set up in southern wyoming out towards nebraska. our eastern plains along i-25 as far south as pueblo and even in the management although our folks in the mountains may not -- in the mountains may not see falling. in fact, we've gotten snow reports for some of our ski reports well over 2 feet. currently the center of that storm system is in southwest colorado. so the wind around this system is bringing the snow bands straight from the south to the north, but into this evening as this storm system positions itself into southeast colorado and the winds are more that upslope event and snow increasing. visibility has dropped to about 1/2 a mile in the metro area. some other spots have the blue color, low visibility, very cloudy skies and with winds gusting 20 to 30 miles per hour especially out towards eastern plains, that wind chill is making temperatures feel like the teens. so yeah, we've got winter in colorado. it's february here. we've got 20s right now and as the sun goes down, those temperatures will get even colder and we'll see
