my appreciation for the leadership efforts taken by senator chris murphy and by representative john larson in the senate and house. this week. and i would also like to stress that i am frustrated that a discussion about guns in america has become so polarized across party lines, that it seem that no positive social dialogue is possible anymore. i think that when you have dialogue that is primarily centered on, you know, them and us, instead of you and i, or when you have a house floor where representatives are referring to other representatives of other -- of the other party, you know, as close friends but in reality they couldn't, you know, imply any more contempt, i think that it's really dangerous for any, you know, any sort of dialogue that's going to happen you know, in the people -- among the people of the united states and i think that when c-span, you know, opens up separate lines for democrats and for republicans, i think that's not fair to the social dialogue. i think that it promotes that polarization and just makes it that much easier for people to uphold the mentality that it
