clinton foundation. now, even though this story did not involve e-mails, you definitely heard the term e-mails thrown aroundelated to the clinton foundation reports using e-mails to also draw conclusions of potential pay to play. now, a clinton spokesperson, let's take you to number two, obviously, wanted to respond to this report. they've said that the a p's analysis relied on flawed data. gave a distorted portrayal of her schedule. it went on to say that the data does not account for more than half of her tenure at secretary, and it omits more than 1700 meetings she took with world leader, let alone countless others that she took with other us government officials while serving as secretary of state. now, statement is much longer than that. i have the full statement on my ronica clear facebook and twitter pages. finally the third headline, this is one related to that use of hillary clinton's private e-mail server from when she was secretary of state. you may recall,s fbi director james comey announced back in july that in indicted for her use of a private e-mail server, 30,000 of clinton e-mails from that

"new york times," they didn't report the story at all. not at all. and where was the outrage when the mainstream media was doing all it could to take donald trump? host of "mediabuzz" on fox news channel, howie kurtz is here with me. howie, i would like your assessment of the ap's story as it now is. what do you think? >> first of all ap has a pretty good reputation for accuracy, here is why the story is carefully worded and fair. two main points. clinton campaign, only covered half of her tenure as secretary of state. that is true it acknowledged in the story because ap had to sue the state department because only coughed up a couple of years of secretary clinton's calendar. you heard this earlier in the segment, subset of all meetings. because as the story says, the app excluded all meetings she had with government officials, federal employees, because that is her job to meet with them. just looked at ones which were private officials including people from overseas, including at least a couple of people with questionable reputations because that is

clinton foundation donors? build: absolutely. at this storynd what we are talking about, it's a small sliver of clinton foundation donors and the meetings she had. we are talking about 185 meetings out of 17,000. we're talking about 85 donors out of 7000. if it's hate to play, not a lot of people are paying to play. do you think president obama, if i asked him if he envisioned a state department would write on behalf of clinton foundation donors that barack obama would have said that's fine with the? bill: i don't think he would be engaged with what he was up to but if you are talking about a nobel laureate coming to see the secretary of state, someone who has done more to lift people out of poverty in the developing world, i guess you would assume that person would meet with the secretary of state. melinda gates is probably not the best example but if you look at the exit and entry roles, do you think president obama would be happy if half the civilians he met with were over, donors? bill: first of all, it is not half. slivere -- a small tiny

clinton had her own troubles again this week. there was another story about the clinton foundation and her time at the state department and new questions raised over the appropriateness of that relationship. where are we on that? and how much is this affecting clinton with the way voters see her? >> right. this week started out to be one of hillary clinton's worst weeks. and they brilliantly changed everything at the end with the speech that they gave on race. and he gifted her with the mistakes he made on immigration. but at the beginning of the week, what we also saw was the release of her private calendar, her meetings that she had at the state department. and cross referencing them some of those meetings were with substantial donors to the clinton foundation. so ethical questions were being raised. if you made a big -- cut a big check to the foundation, did that buy you into a state department luncheon discussion on this policy or could you gain access to a certain expert inside of the state department? those were some of the issues that were beginning to bubble up. the campaign pushed back very hard on this by noting that she had
