it's been done by the east palo alto police department. you can see one person in the back of the squad car. took place at around 6:00 this morning. this is is about a mile away from the san jose police department. they came here with at least five or six units according to neighbors. they used their blow horns, saying that it is a search warrant to come out with their hands up. and it ended peacefully. we do know, again, at least one person in the back of the squad car possibly as many as three arrests. why they conducted this raid, it is still under investigation, but i did talk to the east palo alto police officer who said that the department should give out more information over the past couple of hours or the next couple of hours that i'm working my sources. i'll try to find out exactly what was going on, but that this was conducted, again, in downtown san jose, not by the san jose police department, but by the east palo alto police department. and that there is a helicopter unin the air as well -- up in the air as well. it is not endi

it's been done by the east palo alto police department. person in the back of the squad car. took place at around 6:00 this morning. this is is about a mile away from the san jose police department. they came here with at least five or six units according to neighbors. they used their blow horns, saying that it is a search warrant to come out with their hands up. and it ended peacefully. we do know, again, at least one person in the back of the squad car possibly as many as three arrests. why they conducted this raid, it is still under investigation, but i did talk to the east palo alto police officer who said that the department should give out more information over the past couple of hours or the next couple of hours that i'm working my sources. i'll try to find out exactly what was going on, but that this was conducted, again, in downtown san jose, not by the san jose police department, but by the east palo alto police department. and that there is a helicopter

the storms are building out to the east now. we're seeing lightning with them, nearly 40 strikes as of the last update, but the heavy rain is moving out of lake havasu, and still run off issues there. across northwest arizona this is where the situation is becoming very ugly and fast. we're tracking. really heavy downpours, and two flash flood warnings in effect right now. one of them is for the kingman area, so we'll keep a close eye on that for you as storms continue to develop. farther to the east just a few spotty showers to the northeast of flagstaff at this hour, and the rim is pretty quiet, just a few pockets of light rain, and now what we expect here in the valley. we'll see the clouds stick around, and there's a slight chance of an isolated shower or two tonight, but i have taken the showers down to just 10 percent. we're a little breezy now, but temperatures fallen to 91, so hour by hour looks like most of the valley will be in the 80s by 7:00 p.m., then the drop off into the upper 80s by 9:00. now we still have spots n

>> we are starting in the east bay. going to get to the peninsula because that is almost a mess. westbound interstate 80, 37- minute drive. there was a crash in between all this. really, the volume of traffic has spiked up. a lot of colleges did go back to school yesterday. more people on the road. here we are with a lot of slow traffic. 37-minute drive time from the carquinez to the macarthur maze. when you get to the bay bridge, things are improving. still about a 20-minute delay before you make it onto the bridge. i just want to continue with the east bay commute here. it has been terrible on 580 out of castro valley and on 880 north and southbound from 238. steve mentioned the peninsula, and we are going to talk about it. a crash has been moved to the side southbound 101 at marsh. 280 is better, although 280 is getting a backup. i'd say 280 is your choice to get into the valley that way. as we move down to the actual valley, 85, 280 and 101 are heavy. we are in the fall commute, it seems, already as schools are back
