miller has bonded out of jail. the 49ers released him from the team yesterday. >>> the judge who sentenced brock turner to six months in jail for sex assault is making changes today. he requested to have himself removed from criminal places after get to a lot of backlash for the sentence. kpix 5's sandra osborne is live at the old courthouse in san jose, where judge persky will be working today. >> reporter: this move still not enough to satisfy protestors who want the judge dismissed from court altogether. his decision to sentence the former swimmer at stanford brock turner for six months for sexual assault shocked people. judge aaron persky asked to no longer handle criminal cases and be transferred to the civil division. these assignments aren't usually made until january but another judge swapped jobs with him. a statement says, judge percy believes the change will aid the public and court by reducing distractions that interfere with his ability to do his job. that statement saying he is capable of handling criminal and civil cases. today will be the first day of the move. he will be in san jose instead of palo
