let me give you some numbers on the state level. in the last 10 years, if you , states havecaid been getting about 50.5% of the budget last year federal funds -- 13.5%, federal funds. that is the lowest we've seen in the last 10 years. states have been living with a flat line or declining set of discretionary funds. there is a $4 billion drop it sequestration doesn't affect. indon't yet see what that is terms of what programs. education funds received a significant amount of money from some of the biggest programs that are not medicaid. based on that information, that % reduction.t a 1 >> part of the reason i did not use the term sequester, because of the things that are changing, i feel like those rules that are in place, because we have a republican majority and republican president, as they play with the budget, i'm not sure what was decided there is going to be relevant. i don't think it is going to be better, but i think if we have less money, and they talk about more money going to defense and we don't know what they are going

we expecting water level -- we are expecting the water levels to really go up.e are concerned about these levels here, especially the levy system, which is very weak. we will come in closer and you can see the river zigzagging with this portion across the state. a lot of water is zigzagging to the south. so be watching out for that over the next few days, potentially with more problems, but it all depends on what happens as they try to manage the water problems out there. today we had a few clouds out there, but still a dry weekend. those high clouds are pushing back for the bay area tonight and also into your monday. speaking of the rainfall you've been hearing about this. here is the projection over northern california north of oroville over the next seven days. these numbers will probably change quite a bit, but probably three, four, approaching five inches of rainfall if you are talking about a series of storms that will impact northern california. tomorrow though it will be dry. it is picking up on a few of the high clouds and we will hold on to that until

and we've been monitoring the water levels, reservoir levels, and for more on that we're going to head over to forecaster vianey arana, she has a look of what it looks like now in san jose. >> yeah, kari, we have been monitoring that and this morning we were here at 4:00 a.m.. the coyote creek was still over flood stage about 11 feet. right now the latest is showing 1.10 feet. an inch below the flood stage. you can eventually see that going down. of course, we know this was a record crest. it reached 13.6 feet, and that's the highest level had has reached in about 95 years. and, of course, the coyote creek, the forecast, they were expecting it to reach 11.8 feet on monday, it went to 13.6. the 2 feet definitely made a difference. looking ahead into the coming several days we are going to deep a close eye on the reservoir update. the coyote lake reservoir is still 106%. anderson still at 104%. uvas reservoir still at 103%. although we are getting a nice break from the rain, we are still seeing some rain coming into this weekend so i know kari and i will keep a close eye on that. and als
