out of san francisco, kate larson is live after a really big fire at 23rd and an sau, kate? >> reporter: a really big fire and a really dangerous fire. we are on 23rd between gary anzi. the fire started in the top attic unit at 1:45 this morning and spread to the apartment building on the right and on the left. let's look at cell phone video we got sent to us from a viewer. you can see the huge flames that made the job for firefighters extremely different when they showed up. 15 minutes later, by 2:00 a.m., it's a three-alarm fire, and dozens of fire trucks and other fire apparatus. unfortunately, three people were injured and two have burns and one declined to be taken to the hospital, and another person taken to the hospital with another medical condition and we do not know their specific conditions and how they are doing at this time. the fire department tells me it was a very dangerous situation with hot flames shooting out of the roof and they wanted to protect the close-by apartments and other buildings next door since the wind was blowing to the north. we did speak to

this is an effort spearheaded by independent scholar and tubman buygrapher kate clifford larson. i also welcome the addition of the harriet tubman national historical park in auburn, new york. on the side of the charity home she found a park established in a signing ceremony on the tenth of january, tweft. and it's especially gratifying to be able to give three cheers over a newly discovered pore trait of tubman. what experts agree is perhaps the earliest known photograph of her. it will be auctioned off at swan galleries in manhattan on the 30th of march. the portrait was not discovered in a dumpster, but it was in a jumbo sale on the streets of new york when someone strold by and started picking through the pictures, i know some of you out there do that. i know you're looking for treasure. and over 30 years ago this souvenir album was purchased. and those of us addicted to searching for valuables, i think should share in this celebration of a treasure finally coming to light. this is a newly discovered portrait of harriet tubman. so 2016 i think was a banner year as we so 2016
