these temperatures are notable around the peninsula because people on the peninsula usually don't haveir-conditioning so you will rely on the late day breeze out of the northwest to kick in to cool you down. 101 on saturday. we have a heat advisory on saturday through monday. 104 on father's day. that's very important to keep in mind especially if you want to take dad golfing on father's day. make sure do you it early in the morning because it's going to be a scorcher away from the bay. and this is a problem because it is a prolonged heat wave in our inland areas. when you see temperatures like that it starts to affect the elderly and plants and our pets. meanwhile, when it's hot now it's time for the alameda county fair that opens today. 12:00. there's going to be a cattle drive down main street in pleasanton leading up to the opening of the fair and it's sugar ray performing tonight in concert there. meanwhile it's always a good time some of the best fair food can be found at the san mateo county fair. today's temperature and over the weekend near 90. hydrate and grab the sunblock. w

how about hitting some of the hiking trails in the peninsula? it will start out with clear skies and cool temperatures. by 10:00, it will feel more comfortable. probably the best time of the day to get out there and enjoy that time in the sunshine. it starts to warm up by early afternoon. 73 degrees, and this evening, once those winds start to kick in, temperatures will drop just a bit. if you're heading to the north bay, it will be cool to start at 57 at 8:00 in the morning, and then as we warm up by lunchtime, 78 degrees, up to 85 later today. so we're talking about some cooler temperatures in the forecast. that's coming up. mike is still tracking that crash in san mateo bridge. >> that's right. even though our speed sensors, well, all around the bay, we have great sensor reads. but over here, what was reported right around the decline, but a live camera shows you even though the sensors are not slowing here, let me show you what we're seeing. all those tail lights basically jamming up about halfway through the incline. see the flashing lights.

slowing up the peninsula. slower moving through 280. i'll track that. but we're focused on this right now. the big issue, the parade route scott and chris showed you is off of here off of lake merritt, between lake merritt and 980 through downtown oakland. you'll find a few street closures, a big note is they're closing off broadway, jackson and oak street off ramps starting at 7:00 a.m. you can't get there off of the freeway so avoid overloading the streets. 9:00 is when everything seals up except for 14th and 20th. those are the last roadways to close. sbart a great option for you but take the 12th or the 19th street station as we talk about because lake merritt is at the smallest station and last time they had to close the station down because folks couldn't get out. that's where the parade ends and where the festival is. remember, take mass transit if you can, bart is advising that and ac transit will be rerouted through that area. one note, if you're riding on the pittsburgh line, you'll have fewer trains because they've diverted a few to take care

we'll see fog burn out throughout the mid-morning. peninsula now at 50 degrees. south bay already upper 50s. 58 degrees at tri-valley, 54. seeing, you mentioned, overcast skies. especially for san francisco. we are expecting to keep the overcast skies, but it will eventually start turning into a much lovelier day ahead. doppler radar now showing a low pressure trough bringing, of course, clouds, keeping temperatures slightly cooler than what we saw yesterday. yesterday we hit the 80s in san jose city and expecting to hit the upper 70s. still, some unland areas in the 80s. on a tour of the bay area to forecast your highs for today. san jose, climbing to the upper 70s. high of 70 degrees. los gatos, 80. san jose, 81 degrees. morgan hill 83. so we will see 50s and 60s along the coast. 70s for the possible areas near the bay. mainly 80s and 70s for inland areas. danville, 81. the creek, high of 82. antioch, 85. along the peninsula, we'll see 50s. upper 50s in daly city at 59. belmont, 73 degrees. for san francisco, expect to see 60s for the forecast, embarcadero, 63.

for the east bay, looking at some upper 90s here, and for the peninsula. palo alto seeing a high of 87 degrees and mission, 73. we'll see upper 90s in the north bay. as we head to the weekend, a lot of events going on, including the pride festival. looking at our forecast as the temperatures tomorrow rise to the upper 60s, a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. at sonoma, at the toyota save-mart 2350, we'll have temperatures rising to the mid-80s. our temperatures changing a lot going through the day. looking at san francisco, low 70s today and tomorrow, and by the middle of next week, we'll have lower 60s for the high temperatures. for the inland valleys, up to 97 today and 91 degrees tomorrow. there may be some thunderstorms around carmel valley farther to the south, and then for sunday some thunderstorms to the east over the sierra. a lot of things we'll be watching as our temperatures drop over the next few days, and i'll have a look at some more spots you may be headed this weekend coming up a little bit later. sam and chris? >>> a fire closes par
