i'm kenny choi. michelle is off this morning.is morning, getting behind the wheel when you are tired is as bad as drunk driving according to a new study by aaa. jackie ward reports from the bay bridge toll plaza with more. >>> reporter: good morning. that's kind of alarming to think about. this new data tells us that impaired driving or drowsy driving, i should say, is a much bigger problem than we originally thought. so in the past, there have been studies done by the federal government that say that drowsiness is only a contributing factor in about one to two percent of crashes but now aaa analyzed dashcam video and researchers say 10% of crashes are from drowsy driving. obviously not getting enough sleep gets us tired. aaa says getting only four hours of sleep has an effect similar to driving drunk. >> you might have sluggish responses. you might not be able to keep the vehicle in lane as well as you should. >> in fact, 35% of drivers in the u.s. are not getting the recommended seven hours of sleep a night and that's a contrib

"waymo" claims that uber possesses stolen trade secrets related to self-driving cars. jackie ward reports. >> reporter: a very confident travis kalanick was on the stand for a little more than two hours today and the prosecution team picked up right where they left off yesterday and continued to grill him today. we have video of when travis kalanick was coming into the courthouse earlier this morning for his second day of testimony. the prosecution started off today's proceedings by having kalanick confirm various documents in a thick binder "waymo's" team had begin him. in it were hundreds of pages containing uber meeting notes, emails and texts. one of the texts present was from a former "waymo" engineer, who they say downloaded 14,000 confidential documents in december 2015 shortly before uber hired him in 2016. kalanick describes him as a brother from another mother in a text exchange between him and lewandowski. lewandowski says this is a race we
