to the north bay, highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. by lunch, temperatures close to 90 around fairfield and the east bay valleys. that area in red, the north bay valleys and east bay valleys, 90s tomorrow. the humidity levels in yellow and orange, around the north bay hills, dropping below 35% during the day. plus, the winds are going to pick up. as the temperatures warm, humidity levels will drop. the wind speeds will be a factor as high pressure moves out and low pressure comes back in. that's going to bring breezy conditions on tuesday and about a 20-degree rewind on the temperatures which will be climbing tomorrow. san francisco in the mid 70s. low 60s again by wednesday. valley temperatures from the 80s to low 90s going back into the low 70s. with the wind and the hot and dry conditions, we haven't had to talk about it because it's been cool and relatively damp. the dry conditions and hot temperatures mean fire danger is something to watch. >> it's been a while you have been talking about the roller coaster. >> the peaks are short.

in the north bay... a deadly car crash took the life of a san francisco man who was on his way to celebrate his first anniversary with his wife. the tragic accident happened over the weekend on highway 29 in napa. the couple was riding in an uber, on their way to dinner.. when a woman driving on the opposite side of the highway crossed the double lines and hit the uber head on. jaryd dock passed away in front of his wife sara at the scene. sara told us they were taking the uber to be safe. <'we had a few drinks because we were in napa so we decided to take an uber instead of driving because we didn't want to hurt anyone and to be hurt, we wanted to be safe." > officials are now investigating what caused the other driver to veer onto the other side of traffic. (robin) police released new details on a shooting where one officer shot twice at a getaway car. the details were released during a town hall meeting yesterday. earlier this month ... officers responded to a pursuit after reports of a car burglary.

right now storm ranger mobile doppler radar shows some of this activity in the north bay. it's moving to the south. that would continue to put some showers in south santa rosa through 11:37, at petaluma by 12:09 tonight. so for all of the bay area tomorrow, we're holding on to just a slight chance of a spotty shower. also the clouds and temperatures starting off cool in the 50s. 56 for the south bay. tri-valley at 55. in the north bay, 54. san francisco will begin at 53. i want to take you back to our hour by hour forecast on saturday morning just to get you ready for the day. you can see at 7:30, it's just a little chance here of maybe a few hit and miss showers for the santa cruz mountains, also for the south bay. it's the clouds that we're going to have as we start the day. once we hit the afternoon at 2:00 p.m., you can see some sunshine trying to break out in the east bay. also for the south bay. still kind of gray there with an overcast sky for parts of the north bay. but then by the late afternoon, early evening hours, those skies will begin to clear on out. so tempe

yesterday, the north bay was into the low 40s because it was clear. a little bit of coastal cloud coverage right there to the north of the golden gate. it will burn off soon. after sunrise by 10 a.m., you will start to see the marine layer recede and just break apart there. we like to kick off the weekend with sunshine. the marine layer returning tonight and early tomorrow morning and burning off yet again keeping us sunny. it's all thanks to this ridge of high pressure and that's what's keeping inland areas pretty warm. temperatures chilly not a beach weekend but inland areas near 80. we have a chance for afternoon thunderstorms every day for the next seven days. napa-sonoma county you may see some thunderstorm activity so that seven-day forecast will show that you for the north bay and inland areas the only locations that will start to see that precipitation. below normal and there's that seven-day forecast. dropping off sunday as this system comes through and then monday temperatures in the 60s and low 70s. say good-bye to "friday light." this is a
