the clipper executive board discusses the role of the clipper system in supporting mobility a a service or moss. you will hear a lot of that term here over the next couple of years. month is an alternative to vehicle ownership where people can access shared mobility, with trip planning, payment and navigation. timma staff will participate in follow-up discussions in that regard. we provided a letter of support just recently to the contra costa transportation authority for an application for federal transportation management, technologies, grant funds. the grant award would support the region alamos platform with initial deployment in contra costa. let's move on to water transportation, which is a major potential benefit here for the island. and that we as staff are starting it focus on. at its march 1, 2018, meeting, we authorized staff to proceed with an exploratory study of smaller vessel explorations. they would look at the cleaner vessels delivered relatively quickly for initial service for locations such as treasure island. from our perspective, treasure island is probably one of t

moving to clipper cove promenade, this is the main pedestrian and bike thoroughfare along the clipper cove edge of the island. there is a two-way cycle track that is dedicated and promenade along the water's edge to watch the marina and the sailing center. and there is palm trees separating those different modes of travel. east side commons is a new park type to us. it's neighborhood supporting facility. a linear parkway that connects the entire east side neighborhood. there will be unifying elements like trees, that will connect the spaces all together and promenade pathways. but the idea is that each one of the blocks has a special program or character. so the first block, because it's adjacent to the building 2 plaza, it's more of a welcome block with entry plazas and gardens, places for people to sit and socialize. very flexible to hold events. moving to the second block is more pavement would say. -- playful i would say. it's a place for children and families to play, meet up, could be swings, all that will be developed in the next phase. but here's ideas about what we're thinkin

i'm hunter cuttiand i'm representing save clipper cove today. as you may know, on april 30th, the land use committee of the board of supervisors passed a resolution preemptively rejecting the marina expansion proposal you approved october 30th last year. the supervisors who approved included supervisor tang, supervisor safai and supervisor kim. as a result of that action, treasure island enterprises approached the offices of supervisor kim to suggest more discussion which his office conducted over the following four weeks. as a result of those discussions, the final round of which included your staff director bob beck. an agreement was reached to reduce the scale of the marina down to 18% of the cove. this is a reduction from the proposal you approved to expand the marina over 32% of the cove. on tuesday june , the board of supervisors approved an amended resolution calling upon tida to take several actions and taking note of the smaller footprint, the 18% footprint is consistent with the vision of marina expansion, as put forward, in the origin
