all right, linsey, thank you very much. joining us now is dr.n expert and host of "dr. drew midday live" on knbc radio. always good to see you. >> good morning, robin. >> looking for your perspective on this. what did you think when you first heard? >> interesting to hear the family say the speculation is probably inaccurate. the first thing i thought there was a report of heroin and i thought that did not make sense to me. she's not had that history with heroin. she has had opiates, but not heroin. i didn't buy that, number one. we know she was unconscious, given narcan which is what the fire department does when they come upon an unconscious person. she is an addict and i thought the second thought i had was what a lovely person. i mean, we all have known her. she is this unbelievably dear person and she, indeed, needs our prayers and respect and then my next thought was, this is drug addiction. it's a chronic illness marked by relapses. this happens. nothing wrong with this. this is just part of the course of her illness and it's chronic and

abc's linsey davis is here with the details. these new charges could send him to prison for the rest of his life. >> reporter: that's right. dozens of women have accused harvey weinstein of wrong doing, including ashley judd and rose mcgowan but the previous indictments stem from allegations from only two women. now there is a third accuser, a woman that weinstein allegedly assaulted in 2006 and she testified before a grand jury on friday. prosecutors are now charging weinstein with two counts of predatory sexual assault and each count carries a minimum of ten years to life in prison if convicted. weinstein pleaded not guilty to rape and other charges. he's now free on $1 million bail and being tracked by an electronic bracelet. he will be arraigned on new charges next week. his lawyer says he will plead not guilty to those charges as well and said, quote, to charge mr. weinstein as a predator when the interactions were each consensual is simply not justified but the district attorney not backing down asking for more accusers to

abc's linsey davis is here with this very bizarre story, linsey. >> we love miss helen, just the name alone. good morning to you, amy. officials say this shark heist complete with a stakeout was well planned out and the 16-inch shark was targeted. police say the thief even brought a net and baby carriage to steal miss helen from the exhibit which encourages feeding and touching, not taking the sea life. you've likely heard of "sharknado." but a shark-napping? that's just what happened to miss helen, a year old horn shark at the san antonio aquarium. >> we have never seen anything like this before. >> reporter: three brazen fish-nappers seen here on surveillance cameras grab her by the tail, wrapped her in a wet  blanket, placed her in a bucket and tucked it into this stroller. the thieves then casually wheeled miss helen out. within hours, the stolen shark was allegedly put up for sale on facebook. police then located a recovered pick-up truck from one of the suspects and tracked it down to a home which featured a huge aquarium. >> kept that animal alive. very much knew what he was d

linsey davis is here with more on this. >> good morning, robin.move from the department of justice comes after bombshell revelations in a recent book about the landmark case of racial violence. emmett till was killed in 1955 after a white woman alleged the 14-year-old whistled at her and grabbed her by the waist. the woman's husband and brother-in-law were later acquitted by an all white jury and in an interview for the book "the blood of emmett till," carolyn bryant donham reportedly recants some of her original testimony. she said till had merely insulted her and nothing he ever did possibly could justify what happened to him. overnight till's family released a statement to abc news saying, we appreciate the overwhelming support from around the nation in response to this historic update and, robin, it's not clear if 63 years later if donham face perjury charges. >> the two men are now dead. she is 84 years old. what is the hope here? i think people will be surprised that we're talking about an anti-lynching law. that that is not already on the b
