is it still a looming thing, anita? >> well, i think it is. but i think as the clock ticks and the calendar goes it's just more and more unlikely. there are a lot of people across the country who feel that the closer we get to the election the election is that moment. right? the election gets to choose who the next person is. i think it's more and more unlikely. you are seeing -- of course we're not seeing it right now because congress has left town. what you will continue to see when they come back in a couple weeks is the investigations. more letters, more subpoenas. you will see democrats taking the president or his businesses or his aides to court to try get some of that information. that's what the speaker says she wants to do. nancy pelosi says that she wants to continue to legislate while they investigate. and so they're going to be doing both of those things. and the question is when do they reach that breaking point. and i'm just not sure that they're going to reach that breaking point before people say it's just too late to do this.

anita, help me. we can be overwhelmed by the pure volume of moments like this in this presidency, but what's the significance of this one in particular? >> yeah, it was very harsh language, but obviously we see harsh language from him all the time. i think that people really took -- were struck by how he said that in the oval office. but look, the president is interested in keeping this feud that he has going with these four democratic congresswomen going. this, he feels like, is a great thing for him where he's sort of saying, look, these women who he's accused of not liking israel or being against israel, for him to say these women ay - represent the democratic party. and from the states that they're from, this is a very good message for him. as you notice, when this feud has died down, he still brings it up. he talks about israel. he tweets about them. so i think he wants to continue this. we're going to continue to see this rhetoric from him at campaign rallies as well. >> so jackie, i'm going to

anita vogel is live in los angeles. anita?road daylight, just after 5:30, and all of these terrifying moments were caught on video. you can see officers close up exchanging gunfire with the suspect. it all started with a traffic stop. a california highway patrol officer pulling over a white gmc. he determined it needed to be impounded, and while he filled out the paperwork, the suspect reaches back into his vehicle. you can see here on the overpass, and he pulled out a high caliber rifle, opening fire on the officer. we've isolated the video, so you can see the proximity of the shoot-out. officer andre noye was taken to an area hospital and he later died from his injuries. before being transported, officer moye was able to call for backup. several neighbor agencies responded, and you can see here that officers clearly dragged another officer, another wounded officer safety. 34 real patrol officer andre moye was married in at just four years on the force. >> he was so kind. he wouldn't hear and you wouldn't hear one bad word ab
