and we expected a bit of a drop, bertha. is this the drop we were expecting, though? >> just about, kris and marcus. we've seen over the last 12 days as fears over the coronavirus have intensified the markets have moved about 3.5% a day over the last 12 days or so. when you think about the fact that all of 2019 the average was about half a percentage point. this volatility is something we continue to expect. we haven't seen back-to-back gains since february 6. as you can imagine a lot of focus on the coronavirus. about three stocks are trading to the upside in the s&p. two of them are drug makers that are working on solutions to help treat the virus. one of them is gilead which has a drug that is being tested on victims in china and according to u.s. health officials it's looking pretty good. this is early on. another is working on a vaccine but also has an arthritis drug that some believe may also be able to be used. they have drugs that might be tested to treat some patients at this point. at this point there is not a vaccine or a treatment. they are trying to treat the people who are afflicted. a
