janette nesheiwat. thank you so much. nice to see you. >> nice to see you, too ainsley.nsley: good morning. do you agree with him? >> here's the thing, ainsley, a vaccine and herd immunity are not viable options right now. a vaccine is going to take at least another year before it's on the market. and herd immunity, what that refers to is it means 95%, approximately 95% of the population is immune to the disease. and that is either via vaccination or because that person came into contact with the disease. they recovered and now they have antibodies. but we are nowhere near herd immunity. and we need a more acute proximal solution. we have news under a million jun cases in the united states. i believe that number is wrong. even if we multiply that times 10; that's still a fraction of what we need for herd immunity. so neither one of those options are viable right now. i think the most factor we need to engage in is social distancing. if you have patient a who is sick, there is no way they are going to transfer it to person b and person c if they're 6 to 10 feet away. so t

janette nesheiwat. good morning to you. how critical is it, and how does it work?understand it you try this out? >> yes, i tried it out because i was part of a research project. being a doctor on the front line and taking care of coronavirus patients, swapping them, testing and diagnosing them i'm at a higher risk of acquiring the virus so i was part of a study and that's why i went and had the test on. what they did come a very simple easy process and it took less than 15 minutes. i went in and they did a finger prick and took a couple drops of my blood and put it on a pallet and put it in a little machine that looks like the size of a mini toaster. i got the results in about 15 minutes and with the tested was looked for two different antibodies called igg and idm. antibodies to see if i had the disease in the past and i recovered it it also checked for antibodies to see if i had it now. i was not a carrier but this is good information to provide to the community so that they can track where the virus is, what it's doing and who it's affecting, that sort of thing.

janette nesheiwat.he is an fox news contributor and emergency medicine expert and trained at the same facility he is being held at. can you tell us dr. nesheiwat, he is not on a ventilator right now but he is getting oxygen support. >> hey, good morning, guys, yes. the reason why they moved to the icu if they notice that he is requiring increased amount of oxygen, and if he is still struggling to breathe with just oxygen through a unit, through a cannula or what we call a non-rebreather, then he may need to be put on a ventilator, because his mestlesst muzzles, his diaphragm, he is using his muscles to breathe. eventually the muscles will tire out. that's the point where you get put on a ventilator. it sounds like he ha has been stable throughout the night. i was worried that he might have gotten to that next step of having to be needing to be ventilated. but, it looks like he is holding up with just oxygen alone. i hope he stays like that. but with the high fevers and requirement of high levels of oxyg
