i'm a san francisco native. i'm interested in this position because about five years ago i was in jail and i decided to turn my life around after being in jail about 25 times and prison about 10 times. i got out and used the resources from san francisco and i went back to college and i got a community health worker certificate and from there i applied to some jobs and i was case manager for hospitality house for a year. now i'm current the program coordinator for hospitality house and help people who are homeless, incarcerated, getting out of jail, i help them all day, everyday. i feel i'm a good person for this because i spent 20 years on the streets, and had a life addicted to drugs and i am living proof that the san francisco resources work. i was a knuckle head and then i started to do things and listened to people and took their advice. now i go to work everyday hoping to make up for all the harm i caused in san francisco. i love this city so much because it is my hometown. i want to continue to show people

so san francisco daly city it those snow blowing over the freeway. a lot of resources were pumped onto this fire because of where it is and its proximity to homes. in addition to the 5 alarms. there was also a cal fire alarm pulled. that got in air resources so fire retardant was dumped on that fire to help firefighters get a handle on it. now many evacuated and streets in that area. and we'll get we'll get more information about the evacuation center in just a minute. but there it is definitely big deal a lot of resources thrown at it. especially with the hot and windy conditions definitely been breezy. all morning today. up until this afternoon and hot very hot for this part of town. and i'll tell you that we do know that there were 3 homes on a mountain road. that suffered some damage. let's take a listen to the fire chief describing what happened. >>so the fire did a bump up against a couple of but their were able to make a quick stop and knock it down before the fire got interior, so there's just an accidental damage to >>now so i can hear fire

this is starchild, the libertarian party of san francisco. we believe that tax adding on right now is just absolutely the wrong time. there's so many businesses suffering under the lockdowns. i live in the castro, and it just seems that every other business is closed and boarded up. the measure, furthermore, is so confusing. it's, like, 125 pages long, and reading through it, i couldn't even tell on my own what it was going to do. so i'm substantially relying on the controller's statement which says it's going to be nearly a $100 million tax increase. i think it's egregious whenever they pass measures that are so complicated that the average person reading them, everyone someone who's somewhat familiar with reading these kinds of measures can't really tell what's going on, and i'd be happy to hear the proponents spell out exactly what the different aspects of these measures are and how they affect everybody. but from what we can tell, it's a huge tax increase and it comes at a time when businesses are already super struggling in the city. get

in san francisco we are seeing that decline. and i want to thank jim marx of the advanced planning team and the data team for putting this slide together. but i do think that it shows that san francisco is moving in a different direction than rest of the country. obviously, we are connected, we are all connected, so we will see if -- if these gains can be sustained or if over time we start to see increases in cases and, unfortunately, start to see effects like much the rest of the country is experiencing. next slide, please. so as a result of those low numbers, we continue to make progress in reopening. and today we're moved into the yellow tier. we have been very intentful with our reopening and careful with regard to ensuring that we do not move too fast. so, therefore, we have basically moved -- for every tier, color tier that we move into, we have reopened at a level higher than the state permits. so the way to think about it is that now that we're in the yellow tier, we're essentially taking actions that are permitted in th

i'm a san francisco resident.nd i'm also a member of the california coalition for women prisoners. and we strongly are opposed to electronic monitoring. our city's reliance on electronic monitoring is shamefully growing instead of decreasing. we should be investing in services that support more opportunities for release, alternatives to incarceration, especially for women and trans, not just an electronic form of incarceration, which expands people's -- expands control into people's homes and their bedrooms. we have worked with many women who have come out of san francisco county only to then be shackled by an electronic monitor. monitors are particularly difficult for mothers who are trying to parent their kids in already difficult circumstances. how can a mother care for her kids when she has to recharge her monitor every few hours and worry about being violated in front of them. we've heard how monitors malfunction, we witnessed how monitors make employment almost impossible to obtain. they add another layer of
