we're hearing rumblings, i talked to chuck todd about rumblings of a challenge led by ted cruz. what do you think that's all about? >> this is something we haven't seen in a very long time. we have 12 senators on one side. 140 members of the house on the other. all representatives of the republican party and each case saying they believe the election was not fair. they're objecting, okay. we don't expect any changes. the fact of the matter is because there are objections there will be meetings and each chamber will meet for up to two hours for each state that's challenged. if there are three, four, five states that are challenged, one member from each chamber is doing it, then it could go on for some time. at the end of the day we expect everything to be as it was at the beginning of the day but this is something that you just don't see. we haven't seen an election this crazy in 125 years. >> you said nothing will change the outcome, why is this all getting so much attention? is it like a reality tv type of fascination we all have with this? >> well, because of the large numbers

your colleague, congressman majority whip jim clyburn talked to my colleague chuck todd and said it was odd people were able to find his office so randomly. where do you stand on that? do you feel safe, and how prepared you do think the country is for joe biden's inauguration? >> this is one of those no holds barred movement. my biggest question, tiffany, is how were they able to get close enough to the u.s. capitol to be able to breach the building. that is my number one concern. you're absolutely right. once they were inside, they certainly knew, it appeared, where they were going. they targeted certain people's offices like whip clyburn's. so we do have a lot of questions. house administration is kind of leading the effort on getting those answers, setting up briefings. we've got to get answers to the questions that we have and be confident that the operational plan that is in place for january 20th is appropriate. i don't think we're there yet. >> that's very interesting to hear you say that. you do not think the capitol is safe enough for inauguration. i do want to ask you. being a
