kris? >> reporter: good morning, marcus and laura. that help coming for the folks in california who make the least amount of money. there's about 5.7 million of them here in the state now, the california's stimulus bill includes $600 for individuals who make $30,000 or less per year. there's also a $525 child care credit, preschool credit for children enrolled in state programs. there are also 25,000 small business grants, four times more than in the last round, and businesses will also see their license fees waived. and then there's $35 million in aid for food banks and diaper banks, and we know that they have been doing their best to help people through the pandemic. now, the governor says that he will sign that bill as soon as he can. however, in order to get that stimulus money, you have to file your california state income taxes and then you will get the money after that. in san jose, kris sanchez, "today in the bay." >>> now let's go to washington and to "today in the bay's" tracie potts.

laura garcia. >> and i'm marcus washington. kris sanchez is live at levi's stadium this morning.has vaccines for now but not necessarily the case in san francisco. >> reporter: yes. i'm at the santa clara county fairgrounds because i wanted to tell you what happened here over the weekend. the county had to give away some doses because they were going to expire because people had appointments and just didn't bother to show up. so about 300 of those doses thawed out and set aside for health care workers and those 65 and older were going to expire, the county notified anyone over 65 and notified any county worker who could show up, the good news no dose was wasted. san francisco has delivered more than 151,000 doses, nearly half of the over 65 population has at least one shot, but now mass vaccination site at the moscone center has to shut down until at least february 22nd because the health department isn't getting enough doses. the city college site will reopen friday but just for second doses. the head of san francisco's emergency management echoed mayor london breed's frustratio

bay's" kris sanchez joins us live at levi's this morning looking at some of the preparations that are now under way and what's going on. good morning, kris. >> reporter: good morning to you, lauralike i'm the first person at the tailgate party here at levi's stadium because folks will be getting vaccines inside the stadium, not in the parking lot. this is not a drive-through location. these are some of the nurses who prepped levi's stadium for tomorrow's opening. levi's management provided the video, we should mention. tomorrow on day one, up to 5,000 people will roll up their sleeves to get vaccinated here at the stadium. when the site is up to full capacity, though, 15,000 shots a day levi's will be the largest mass vaccination site in the state. it's open to anyone 65 and older, but you have to live or work in santa clara county. no walk-ups. you have to make an appointment through the county at secfreevax.org. oakland coliseum opens february 16th for alameda county residents. we could see national guard soldiers helping with that effort there. because the virus is mutating, infectious disease experts say the mass vaccination sites are critical. >> we need to vaccinate as ma

and i'm laura garcia. let's get to "today in the bay's" kris sanchez live outside of kaiser san jose hospital. >> reporter:ou both. that line foroutside the buildid almost around the outside of the building, as people showed up for their appointments yesterday. taking a look for yourself, people say they waited nearly two hours to get that shot, and to make that second dose appointment. kaiser told us in a statement they didn't overbook people for their vaccines, and blamed the location instead. tal statement reads in part "current space constraints which may contribute to wait time will be resolved next thursday when the vaccination clinic moves to a more spacious outdoor tent, and we will more than double the number of vx vaccinators." kaiser workers will picket outside their hospital later this morning. they say they want better safety protocols to limit covid infections among staff. the health care giant's been hit with 12 fines by cal osha totalling more than half a million dollars statewide. the largest fines were here in the bay area, for violations at nine different kaiser locations bay area wide.

"today in the bay's" kris sanchez joins us live at levi's vaccination site in santa clara with more. kris? >> reporter: good morning. this could be a game changer because vaccination sites like levi's stadium behind me had to have big deep cold storage facilities to store that pfizer and moderna vaccine. soon. in the last couple of hours, pfizer submitted new data to the fda showing that the vaccine can be kept stable in pharmaceutical freezers and refrigerators, which are much more commonly available. the company said this would make transportation and distribution a little more flexible. meanwhile a week from today, the fda will review johnson & johnson's request for emergency use approval for its vaccine, but the company is reportedly also considering recommending two doses of the vaccine instead of one. >> whether they do or not is not going to affect the 100 million doses we're going to get. >> reporter: the rush to vaccinate people is on. specialists are warta the virus and we've had a lot in the last mo
